Playing in the Yard

Here are a few pictures of LB enjoying her new play place!

Grandma and Grandpa surprised Leona with a backyard playset, and it turned out to be just as much fun for big A and Gramps to put together as it will be for her to play with. At least it looks like fun to do a gigantic wooden puzzle in 90º heat, right?

Josephine spent some quality time with Grandpa, too.

Lido Beach

Once the bathroom was all done we took a break and brought Leona to the beach. She wasn't that into the water but loved playing in the sand.

New Half Bath

So I'm going to mix things up a bit and show what we've been up to around the house! G and G not only spent quality time with Leona but they also majorly helped us with the house and yard. The first week (besides eating hot dogs every day) we renovated the half bath! Dad and Anthony did the heavy lifting (fixing the broken toilet and installing the new sink and light) and Mom and I did the wallpaper and wainscoting. Okay I really just watched and offered moral support. Here's the before...

And there is the after! Isn't that wallpaper rad? I still say rad. I really love how it came out. That floor is original but it looks so much better now, all spruced up. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Grandma and Grandpa's visit

We had an amazing time with Grandma and Grandpa Ward this month! Leona had tons of fun getting chased around the house in circles and wearing Grandpa's hat. She also learned a few new words while they were here like juice and choo chooo (when the train goes by.) Grandma even taught her where her nose is! Man, we miss them already!

Ready or Not

Get ready because I'm about to hit this blog hard. Since it's Friday night and we're married I have nothing better to do than post all of the July activities at once! First here are a couple pics of little LB surveying the new yard. Don't mind the weeds!
